The Witherslack Group are delighted to be sponsoring the first ADHD conference organised by The National Attention Deficit Disorder Information and Support Service (ADISS) in the North West. The conference which takes place during ADHD Awareness Week will see a host of parents and professionals attend the one day event, which is being held at Stockport Guild Hall on the 15th October.
Entitled ‘ADHD is Real: Promoting Positive Attitudes and Building Resilience in People with ADHD’, the event includes an impressive line-up of speakers, including Professor Thomas Brown, Christian Moore and Kevin Roberts, to name but a few.
The North West conference is followed by the London event, which will also see The Witherslack Group as headline sponsors, on the 16th October at St Paul’s Church, Hammersmith.
Jude Jones, a Director of the Witherslack Group comments, “We are delighted to be sponsoring such an important event and at the same time working with ADDISS in supporting parents and families across not only the region, but the UK as a whole. We hope that the conference goes from strength to strength and becomes an annual event that provides real support and help to as many people as possible”.
Andrea Bilbow OBE, founder and CEO of ADDISS, welcomed the Group’s support, “We are delighted that the Witherslack Group have chosen to become the main sponsors for both of our ADHD Awareness week events this year. It is refreshing that a part of the education community has chosen to support ADDISS and indirectly support the ADHD community. Together, we can promote better learning and behavioural outcomes for students and families struggling with ADHD. We are very much looking forward to working together over the next year to support more families, children and schools by encouraging better understanding of ADHD.”
