1 million miles of litter picking
22 July 2021
Pupils from Westmorland School recently joined an army of schools all over the UK to take part in the ‘Great British Spring Clean’ organised by the charity Keep Britain Tidy who have three goals - to eliminate litter, end waste, and improve places.
The schools pledged to take part in one million miles of litter picking - that's to the moon and back twice!
Proudly donning their high vis jackets and equipped with their litter pickers and bags, the pupils walked around the local area and school grounds, bringing back several bags of litter, contributing to cleaning up their local community.
A massive well done to everyone!
