La Tomatina celebrated

Pupils and staff from The Grange Learning Centre recently celebrated La Tomatina, a week-long food fight festival held yearly in the town of Bunol, near Valencia in Spain.
During the festival, participants throw squashed tomatoes from a safe distance and when they hear the noise of a firework, all activity is stopped.
As part of the learning centre's celebrations, Head Teacher, Mark Boyle gallantly volunteered himself to be a target, as young people threw their tomatoes, while onlookers cheered as they admired his enthusiasm and courage. He certainly is brave!
