Sparks bring learning to life

Pupils from Seedlings Class at Pontville School took part in an experiment to bring their learning to life all about The Great Fire of London.
They popped on their creative hats to make houses made out of recycled boxes and lolly pop sticks. They then came together on the school's farm to place their homes, side by side, and with a strike of a match in a very controlled and safe environment, Teacher Mal Moore set the houses alight. The pupils witnessed how quickly a fire can spread.
Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience providing them with a better understanding of the topic, which they certainly won't forget!
