A very royal celebration in Windsor
The queen recently celebrated her 96th birthday at Windsor Castle, a short walk away from Queensmead House School. In honour of her birthday, pupils from the school’s provision created cakes befitting the monarch.
The pupils have been cooking up a storm with Head Teacher, Tracey White since the school opened in March. During their lessons, they have been developing their cooking and baking skills whilst learning about nutrition and health to understand the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
Opting for the great British classic for the special occasion, pupils baked Victoria sponge cakes with lashings of jam and cream for the special occasion.
Pupil, Archie was delighted with his cake and proudly showed it off. It certainly looks like a treat we wouldn’t say no too! Well done, everyone!
