Pontville School Blog 128: Walk of victory inspired by Colonel Tom
Pupils from Class 4A and 4B from Pontville School recently celebrated VE Day by taking inspiration from Colonel Tom Moore’s recent walk of fame by completing their own walk of victory. They also took the opportunity to appreciate Tom’s fantastic efforts and were proud to honor him.
Pupil, Tom from 4B commented:
"The enthusiasm was high. Chanting music helped us to keep calm and carry on. We took part to thank Colonel Tom and walked as far as he did around our beautiful school site. We measured the distance he walked, 2500 metres with a trundle wheel. It was the same distance as five laps of the whole school site! We were thrilled to complete the walk together, along with a chicken for company. We think Colonel Tom would approve."
Well done everyone for taking part in a great initiative.
