Pontville School Blog 127: Pupils Carve Out Their Future Careers
Pupils and staff from Pontville School celebrated the creative talents and achievements of two pupils who were recognised for their work by the BBC and an American publisher.
Pupil, Charlie entered a Radio 2 short story-writing competition and was delighted to learn that from 135,000 entries his story got down to the last 5000. He was also thrilled to learn that there’s still a chance for him to win the random prize draw, which gets Charlie some amazing book prizes for himself and the school.
Pupil, Aaron has been working on his music blog for some time and was recently approached by an American publisher who are keen to work with the aspiring writer to review singles and albums. He also been contracted by bands he has written about, praising his brilliant work.
How impressive are both of their achievements? Well done to Charlie and Aaron.
