Pontville School Blog 115: Pop Up Restaurant
Last term, students and staff from Pontville School’s 16-19 Centre were proud to present their first ‘pop up’ restaurant, Black Moss Bistro. They opened their doors for the first time in early November and catered for 30 guests including families, friends and staff who all enjoyed the experience and appreciated the hard work of everyone involved.
The aspiring restaurateurs worked together as they planned, produced menus, advertised, budgeted, shopped, cooked and designed the restaurant. They also took on a variety of roles which included chefs and waiters – the team were all professional and attentive to detail whilst providing excellent customer service.
The VIP guests were extremely impressed by the enthusiasm of the students and enjoyed the treats on offer.
The pop up restaurant proved to be really successful and plans are on the way for their next evening which will be held in the Spring Term with an added twist including a quiz and curry night.
Team work really is the dream work – well done everyone!
