Champion of the month
Pupils and the team from Pontville School are celebrating following the announcement that pupil Reuben has won an award through his participation in the LFC Creative Works programme, delivered by the LFC Foundation. The programme aims to inspire and engage young people between the ages of 16 and 25 to develop employability skills that feed into creative careers.
As part of WG Futures, pupils took part in a six-week programme, where they took part in several workshops, including LFC TV studio sessions, lighting workshops, gallery visits and various creative art activities, while growing their confidence and developing multiple skills such as teamwork, resilience and communication.
Reuben has been awarded the ‘Champion of the Month’ award because of his hard work and dedication during the workshops. Rueben was nominated for the award by the LFC Creative Works Team.
Carmel Carey-Sheilds, Employability Co-ordinator for LFC Foundation, commented:
“This is a real achievement as nominations are submitted not just from us and Creative Works, but from LFC Foundation teams delivering programmes in different areas and working with many participants, so well done Reuben!”
The team presented Reuben with the award and also interviewed him for their social media channels.
What a fantastic achievement.
