Pontville Blog 147: celebrates GCSE Results
GCSE results day is a day of celebration. Staff along with equally delighted parents and carers, came together to recognise the success and progress of our students who have risen to the challenge to reach this momentous milestone.
Like last year, the day deserves to be celebrated in light of the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has presented to everyone. A true collective effort from everyone has meant that today is a time of celebration and success on so many levels.
Justine Sims, Head Teacher of Pontville School, commented:
"What these fantastic GCSE results show is the determination and resilience of our young people and their drive to succeed. We are all so proud of what they have achieved and look forward to their continued success in post 16 placements and apprenticeships."
Individual highlights include:
James celebrated achieving a total of ten qualifications with eight GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above. Highlights included GCSE grade 8 in English Language and History, grade 6 in English Literature and grade 5 in Photography. He also achieved grade four in Maths and Science.
CJ was also delighted to pick up his results. He achieved a total of ten qualifications with eight GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including English Language, English Literature, Maths, Double Science and Computing.
Thomas achieved a total of 13 qualifications with eight GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including English Language, English Literature, Maths, and Double Science.
Jace achieved a total of ten qualifications with eight GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including grade 7 in English Language, grade 6 in English Literature and Psychology, and Grade 5 in Maths.
Georgia achieved a total of 10 qualifications with four4 GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including English Language, English Literature, Geography and BTEC Home Cooking Skills.
Lawrence achieved nine qualifications including seven GCSE passes with a grade 4 in art.
Emily achieved a total of eight qualifications with seven GCSE equivalent passes including Level 2 BTEC Performing Arts & Music.
James achieved a total of 11 qualifications with five GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including grade 6 in English Language and English Literature.
Aaron achieved a total of ten qualifications with eight GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above including grade 6 in English Language and grade 5 in Psychology.
Harry achieved a total of ten qualifications with four GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 including grade 7 in Geography, grade 6 in History and grade 5 in Double Science.
Finally, Joe achieved a total of 12 qualifications with six GCSE equivalent passes at grade 4 and above. Highlights include grade 5’s in Double Science, History and Art.
