Pontville Blog 137: Pupils and staff celebrate award
Pupils and staff from Pontville School recently celebrated their recognition for taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) Scheme.
Acting Operations Manager of the DofE, Lea Roberts contacted the school congratulating pupils and staff on their incredible efforts, and shared a report ‘DofE Impact during Covid-19’, highlighting the school’s activities. It was recorded that the school completed:
- 39 hours of volunteering
- 39 hours of skills activities
- 26 hours of physical activities
Whilst taking part in activities, the adventurers took the opportunity to develop themselves as they continued to participate in their DofE Award, and go above and beyond, contributing to their local community through completing their award.
Lea ended her email by saying:
"Congratulations and well done to you and your young people."
Well done to everyone involved. It truly is a fantastic achievement.
