Our top ten highlights of 2022
The highlights of 2022 are here! We’re excited to share even more moments of magic where children and young people continue to reach new heights with the unwavering support from our dedicated staff teams, who are absolute superstars. Our ongoing support to families up and down the country continues to go from strength to strength through our events, webinars and resources, and we celebrated plenty of Ofsted results, new school openings, award wins and stories of success. If that wasn’t impressive enough, there’s more. In no particular order, here are our highlights of 2022.
Our superheroes
Glowing Ofsted reports
Throughout 2022, our schools celebrated Ofsted reports that were glowing in praise of our staff and the excellent progress and achievements made by children and young people.
Community involvement
Every single day across our Group, we witness stories celebrating new experiences, and this year, children, young people and staff worked together to raise money and awareness for some great causes locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. How impressive are they?
Celebrating neurodiversity
We became one of the first organisations in the country to be awarded the Neurodiversity Friendly Award by the ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity. The award recognises our longstanding efforts in supporting children, young people, their families and the wider SEN community, including a wide range of professionals working in the sector.
New school openings
Our commitment to supporting more and more children and young people continues and throughout 2022, we opened new schools, providing even more support and life opportunities for them and their families.
Bringing teaching and learning to life
The Studio is our media bus that brings teaching and learning to life. The £175,000 investment demonstrates our culture of championing excellence and exposing children and young people to the best experiences, where they can grow and prepare for life beyond education.
Even more support to you and your family
This year, our in-person events made a comeback and we continued to host free webinars to support even more parents, carers and professionals with expert advice on a range of topics related to SEN.
Football fever
In July, pupils, parents and staff from our Queensmead House School welcomed former England and Arsenal legend, Kelly Smith to officially open their ‘Special Cruyff Court,’ developed in partnership by Johan Cruyff Foundation. We have even more exciting news to come from this partnership in 2023!
Football fever
Our podcast, SENsational continued to celebrate neurodiversity, empowering parents and carers while strengthening our children's superpowers and more!
Teamwork makes the dream work
We continue to work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to support our children and young people to realise their true potential and achieve goals.
