In the lead up to Christmas, we shared our highlights of 2020. From children and young people making progress to stories celebrating the achievement of awards and accreditations from individuals, schools and homes. Our staff have truly risen to the challenge too and shown that nothing can stop them in their support and commitment to all of our children and  young people. 2020 will be a year that no one will forget, but we are proud that through it all there are still so many things to look back and celebrate. Our staff teams were truly heroic in their support for our children, young people and their families during the pandemic. Teams came together to maintain standards of care and provide stable places to live and learn. True superheroes in our eyes.

In 2020, our schools, children’s homes and individual members of staff didn’t let a global pandemic stop them from winning some great awards recognising their concerted efforts in improving the life opportunities for our children and young people.  

Throughout 2020, we have proudly celebrated the fantastic achievements of our children and young people and witnessed them reaching their goals. Every day across our Group moments of magic happen that has us all bursting with pride. 

Our commitment to supporting more and more children and young people continues to grow and throughout 2020 we opened new schools and homes providing even more support and life opportunities for children, young people and their families.

In March we launched our FREE webinars to support even more families with expert advice and professional opinion on a range of topics related to SEN. Through their own determination and the unwavering support of our staff, in August we proudly celebrated the GCSE results of our Year 11 leavers, who went on to further education, apprenticeships or employment.  We couldn’t be prouder of you all. Read the article by clicking here

During the summer holidays we kept families entertained with webinars, fitness classes and much, much more through our first free Summer Camp. It was a whole Group effort as staff from all areas shared their skills to make sure that families had everything they needed. Keep up with our latest campaigns by signing up here

Since the beginning of the pandemic, children, young people and staff from our schools and children’s homes have worked together to create food hampers, packed lunches and food vouchers to help with the health and well-being of families, and their local communities. They have also been donating to their local food banks and raising money and awareness of local and national charities.

We have worked in partnership with the Cruyff Foundation to launch state of the art sporting facilities at our Cumberland, Pontville, Ashbrooke and Abbeywood schools. We have even more exciting news to come from this partnership in 2021!

In 2020 we continued to work in partnership with parents and carers to support our children and young people to realise their potential and reach goals.
