One of the greatest acts of kindness during the festive season is giving to those that are less fortunate than ourselves. With this in mind, young people and staff from Mere Fell Children’s Home have been collecting food for a local food bank that helps provide emergency food to people in crisis.
On hearing about this initiative, the young people decided they wanted to help and so went about using their own pocket money to add sweets and chocolates to their collection.
In addition to this, the young people also agreed to support the Royal Lancaster Infirmary by collecting a variety of gifts for babies, children and older children. They recently presented their gifts to staff at the hospital where their kind gesture was greatly received.
Well done everyone!
