Cycle challenge accepted
Pupils and staff from Meadow View Learning Centre are limbering up for a 21-mile circular bike ride in Preston on The Guild Wheel.
The pupils’ new-found enthusiasm for the sport has been sparked by attending the Anderton Outdoor Centre, where they have tried and tested paddle boarding, kayaking, and sailing with great confidence and ease. Staff from the centre were so impressed by their efforts that the long term loan of ten bikes was offered to them.
Staff from the learning centre collected the bikes along with new helmets and are working together to prepare for the bike ride. Meadow View Children’s Home staff are also giving a helping hand, training with pupils, and accessing the the bikes in the evenings and weekends.
