School celebrates shortlist announcement
We’re delighted to announce that Lakeside has been shortlisted for the prestigious National Association of Independent Schools & Non-Maintained Special Schools (NASS) Awards.The school has been shortlisted for the NASS Innovation Award.
Vicky Size, Head Teacher of Lakeside school said:
“I am both proud and thrilled that Lakeside School has been shortlisted for the 2018 NASS Award for Innovation. The impact of introducing therapeutic whole school singing sessions throughout the year has been significant, with the vast majority of pupils making excellent academic progress and our number of serious incidents across the year more than halving in number. We are continuing to offer whole school singing sessions to our pupils and will continue to monitor the positive impact this has on their mental well being.”
The winners will be announced at the 2018 NASS Award during the NASS Annual Conference being held on the 11th & 12th October at The Belton Woods hotel, Grantham.
If the school wins they will be presented with a trophy at the awards ceremony. We look forward to the announcement of the winners.
