Hartwell’s School Official Opening Event
It has been a very exciting week for pupils and staff at Hartwell School as they celebrated their official opening.
The school welcomed parents, carers and professionals to the ceremony where they listened to Head Teacher Peter Ewart talk about the school’s highlights and the vision for pupils that is shared across the whole staff team. Peter’s speech was followed by Phil Jones, who shared his pride in seeing how the school has developed so much already since opening earlier this year. He also talked about how as a Group we are continuing to go from strength to strength and the collective effort of everyone in achieving life changing outcomes for our young people.
Sandwiched between the two was a fantastic performance from a Hartwell pupil. McKenzie read a self penned poem about anti-bullying, which brought about the loudest applause of the day.
Peter commented on the event:
"I am extremely proud to welcome guests to the official opening of our school. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our school and all the work and experiences that have taken place since we welcomed our first pupil earlier this year."
Overall it was a fantastic event that was enjoyed by all.
