Happy 75th Birthday NHS

28 July 2023

Pupils and staff from Hall Cliffe School recently took part in National Thank You Day as part of their Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) learning. The event conveniently coincided with the 75th anniversary of the NHS, which was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the service it provides to everyone up and down the country.

National Thank You Day encourages empathy and gratitude and fosters a sense of social responsibility and awareness among communities.

On the day, they got creative and created colourful thank you cards for staff working at the the Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. As they worked on their creations, they expressed how they hoped their act of kindness would impact the morale of healthcare workers, who often work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of others. The cards would also serve as a reminder of the NHS' positive impact on individuals and communities. After completing these thoughtful cards, they were hand-delivered to staff for all to enjoy.

Well done to everyone for showing great support for those who deserve thanks!
