Hall Cliffe Primary shortlisted for Community Education Awards

05 May 2017

We are thrilled to announce that Hall Cliffe Primary School has been shortlisted for two Community Education Awards. The school has been shortlisted for the Action Against Bullying Award and the Outstanding Sports Project Award.

The Community Education Awards are an annual celebration and recognition of schools’ efforts to help children and young people become responsible community members. Affiliated to the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain, the Awards reward school projects and teachers who help improve the lives of pupils and their local communities.

This year’s awards attracted over 3,500 entrants, triple the number of nominations from the inaugural year in 2011.

Winning schools will receive a winner’s plaque, a certificate and goodies. Runner up nominees will also receive a certificate and goodies, and highly commended (third place) entrants will receive a certificate. A presentation ceremony will be held at each winning school with community figures and the local press invited to attend.

Claire Traynor, Head Teacher, commented:

“I am delighted that we have been shortlisted in two categories – it’s fantastic news for all of us! This is a true reflection on the amazing efforts of staff and the achievements of our pupils since our opening.”

We look forward to the announcement of the winner and are so proud of all the staff and pupils for continually striving to be the best.
