Speech certificates spark celebrations
Can you guess how many members of the staff team from Hall Cliffe Primary School celebrated receiving their Elklan certificates?
We can confirm that it wasn’t one or two, but 11 team members! They all took part in specialist training for staff supporting children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
The course equips staff with innovative tools and methods to enhance children’s learning in the classroom and promotes quality teaching. The dedicated team attended ten training sessions and submitted a portfolio of their learning evidence.
The course was delivered during the academic year 2020-21 by Sarah Booth, Speech and Language Therapist, who was impressed with the quality of work that was submitted. The school is now working towards gaining its Communication Friendly Setting accreditation this academic year.
