Growing Together
Pupils and staff from Avon Park School recently celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week. This year's theme was Growing Together which aims to help young people see how far they have come and grown during a time of uncertainty.
As part of the celebrations, the Therapy Team organised a whole school project, where pupils were asked to create a flag incorporating pictures and words that would help support their own well-being, as well as writing positive comments which would be supportive towards their classmates. The flags were then made into bunting which was displayed around the school for everyone to appreciate as part of their tea party celebrations.
Anna Barnett, Occupational Therapist commented:
This was a lovely way to get both pupils and staff to think about how we can look after ourselves and one another.
Can you spot any inspiring messages from their creation?
