Wonderful wonders research

26 May 2023

Year 11 pupils from Greenholm School recently enjoyed a field trip to Horniman Museum as part of their GCSE Art studies to gather research and inspiration for their self-identified art projects.

During the visit, they viewed a diverse range of artefacts, including animals and objects from the natural world. The museum’s collection provided them with a wealth of inspiration for their art project, where they could observe and study different forms, textures and colours to help develop their artistic skills and broaden their perspectives.

They also enjoyed visiting the marine life in the aquarium and the giant butterflies in the butterfly house, which they found fascinating.

The trip was a great success, providing them with inspiration and motivation to incorporate some of their findings in their artwork.
