An influential Futures Ambassador session
A recent workshop delivered by an inspirational speaker and entrepreneur had pupils from Oversands School captivated from the world ‘go’, as he shared his life experiences, demonstrating how making positive decisions are vital for future success.
Organised through the Futures Team, the session is part of the Futures Ambassador Session, where children and young people across Witherslack Group are given the opportunity to speak to industry experts through interactive sessions in class.
Chris Brown, ex-offender turned entrepreneur, sincerity and authenticity shone through as he resonated with the pupils, sharing personal insights and choices that led to his most challenging moments. The impact of this on pupils was profound and they showed great enthusiasm during the engaging and insightful session. They learnt about the path that led him to tough times, resulting in imprisonment and served as an eye-opening experience.

He was incredibly passionate and laid out the truth about how making poor decisions now do not just affect yourself, but also the devastating impact on family and friends. To see how well our pupils responded to this was inspirational, and shows that the support and guidance they receive from all the staff at Oversands are truly making a difference to them.”
