For the love of literature

The day started with Holly and Willow classes listening to ‘Smidge and the Mountain Moobles’, read by Philippa during a Zoom call.  She entertained the classes with an engaging session, but the highlight of the call was meeting her stripy cat!  Everyone agreed it was a brilliant way to interact with an author and later that day pupils picked up their pens to write book reviews, and draw pictures to pass on to Philippa as a thank you.

Pupils from Maple, Cedar, and Oak classes took a trip to Waterstone’s book shop in Liverpool One, where they took their time pondering over which book to choose to take home.

The day was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by pupils and staff alike.
