First class first aid

This term, pupils from Lion’s Class at Hall Cliffe Primary School have been learning about statutory first aid and have developed many skills, including coping in an emergency.
During their sessions, they have learnt vital life skills and experienced scenarios that require first aid, ranging from minor cuts, bruises, burns, nose bleeds, possible broken bones, choking, recovery position and CPR.
The opportunity to access the course has been well received by pupils, who have enjoyed learning new skills and experiencing the simulated scenarios. This also helps them develop lifelong learning skills that will help pupils should they need to call upon their knowledge.
