Treats all round for great causes
There has been a flurry of activity at Elmbank and Wrenfield learning centres, where pupils and staff have raised money and awareness of some great causes.
Coffee morning
In September, everyone came together for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. To prepare for the event, pupils were set a brief to explore treats that would appeal to attendees. Rolling up their sleeves and cooking up a storm, they mastered at least two bakes, ensuring a variety of treats would be available on the day.
The morning of the event was buzzing with activity, and as everyone gathered, the fun started. They took part in a fun quiz, a round of ‘stop the bus’ and ‘bingo’ while enjoying the handmade treats.
The event was a huge success, and pupils were proud to raise £54.52 for the worthy cause.
World Mental Health Day
In October, World Mental Health Day was celebrated with Teacher, Lauren Shepherd getting everyone ‘mugged’.

Well done, everyone.
