A flurry of fun in the sun
Last term, pupils and staff from Dovetree School enjoyed a week of activity as they celebrated the end of another academic year, with lots of fun in the sun.
Rutland Aqua Water Park
Key Stage 3 pupils were treated to an action-packed, fun-filled day on the inflatable agility course at Rutland Aqua Water Park. It was a great day, with the water keeping everyone cool in the hot weather.
Twycross Zoo
Pupils from Key Stage 2 were delighted to go on a well-deserved trip to Twycross Zoo, where they enjoyed observing a large variety of animals, including many endangered species.
PRIDE celebrations
Pupils and staff came together to celebrate PRIDE, acknowledging equality and diversity within the school community.
During the celebrations, everyone got stuck into a morning of sport at the local sports field, including a three-legged race, tug of war and 100m egg and spoon race. Heading back to school, they all got stuck into a tasty BBQ consisting of burgers, hot dogs, chips and salad, and sat around the rainbow-decorated tables while enjoying the glorious afternoon sun.
The fun and games didn’t stop here as the day continued with an inflatable agility course, a bubble workshop and the best was yet to come – a rodeo bull!
Everyone had an amazing day filled with lots of fun and laughter.
Race for Life
Pupils took part in a sporting event as part of Race for Life at the local sports field, creating awareness for a great cause and raising over £500.
They celebrated their efforts with well-deserved ice cream.
Celebration Assembly
Finally, to round up their amazing week of activity the whole school celebrated with an end-of-year assembly, where pupils were recognised for going above and beyond in their work. They also said their final goodbyes to their friends who were leaving to go on to college.
