Pupils brave handling exotic animals

Pupils and staff from Cumberland School recently welcomed Zoolab, an animal handling experience company.
The budding Zoologists learnt about a selection of reptiles, amphibians, and mammals including Millie the giant African millipede, Colin the hissing cockroach, Tortellini the Greek tortoise, Draco the royal Python, Ruby the tarantula, and Gus and Pluto the two fancy rats.
The pupils were given the opportunity to handle the animals and Lydia, the member of staff from ZooLab, shared facts about life expectancy, diet, offspring, animal care, and much, much more.
