Buzzing to help bees

08 July 2021

Pupils from Cumberland School have been learning about the importance of bees and their contribution to their local environment; did you know by pollinating trees, bushes and plants, bees are important for the food production of all the other animals and birds in the forest ecosystem?

Buzzing from their learning, the environmentalists have been inspired to take action and support their bee population by planting some wild flowers. They chose a quiet area in the school grounds to plant the specialist “Beebombs.”

They will now keep a close eye on the developments and continue to work together to help their local environment.

Well done everyone.
