Lanterns light up the community
Pupils and staff from Chilworth House Upper School recently visited Rose Hill, located in Oxfordshire, to join the local community for the annual Winter Lantern Parade.
To prepare for the event, Art Teacher Rona Begum organised a workshop with local street artist Andrew Mani Mason, who worked with pupils to create penguin and star lanterns.
On the night of the event, families and friends came together to attend the magical parade, where the streets came alive with lights and sounds, lanterns, festive markets, music, dance and much, much more.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this joyous celebration and already looking forward to next year’s event, where they can again join in with the local community.
