Celebrating excellence: Star Awards Night 2024
The Witherslack Group Star Awards 2024 celebrated the exceptional efforts and achievements of individuals and teams nominated ahead of a memorable evening at The Belfry in the heart of the West Midlands.
With over 120 attendees, the event featured 12 categories and brought together finalists from across the country to celebrate the Huge Small Victories within our Group, resulting in life-changing outcomes for children, young people and their families.
The diversity of categories, ranging from Everyday Heroes to Leaders of the Year, demonstrated the rich tapestry of talent and unwavering commitment present throughout our Group.

To round up the night of celebrations, there were two categories that were chosen by Directors and our Chief Executive Officer, they were: the Young Person’s Choice and Chief Executive’s Choice
Young Person’s Choice
This award recognises the employee who in the words of our young people themselves has made a considerable impact in creating aspirational futures. Our judges identified the winner of the award by drawing on the supporting written evidence from young people accompanying the submissions in the other award categories.
The winner: Shaun, Shift Leader, Dene Croft
Chief Executive’s Choice
This award recognises the best all-round impact, linked to achieving our Group Strategy of Uncompromising Standards, Great Place to Work, Outcomes for Young People, and Financially Secure Business. The winner demonstrated the strongest evidence against each of those four pillars, and will selected by Chief Executive Tracey Fletcher-Ray from among the finalists in the other award categories.
