Cedar House School celebrate Social Care Award
Pupils and staff from Cedar House School were delighted with the announcement that the school has won two awards from the prestigious GHP Social Care Awards.
The school has been awarded The Best Specialist Residential School 2019 & Excellence Award for Mental Health Support – both for the north of England.
Awards Co-ordinator, Laura Hunter, commented on the success:
“As our awareness of mental health issues increases, and lifespans are growing longer, the need for social care services is skyrocketing globally. Although the people who rise to meet this demand don’t do it for commendation, we at GHP Magazine still believe in highlighting the distinguished efforts and endeavours of those organisations and individuals, who aid some of society’s most vulnerable. It is with great pride that I congratulate every winner in this prestigious awards programme and wish them the best of luck as they look to the future.”
Head Teacher Kath Taylor proudly commented:
‘We are all delighted that Cedar House has achieved these two awards. They are a celebration of all the staff’s hard work and commitment to the education and care of our pupils.’
