Time ticking and teamwork
Pupils and staff from Broadbeck Learning Centre recently put their common sense, logic, problem- solving and friendship to the test as the clock ticked down during their trip to an escape room in Leeds.
As part of a treat and a fond farewell to one of their classmates, they chose to take part in an underwater experience called ‘Submerged.’ Lost in the Bermuda Triangle, their 'submarine' is hit by an enemy torpedo, and they have just one hour to escape before their oxygen runs out.
It may sound nail biting, but the experience was exhilarating, where pupils worked together using communication skills as their main strength. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and managed to escape the room with 9 minutes to spare. Wow!
Well done everyone.
Submerged!
