Super-size science
New starters from a nurture class at Bridgeway School got their first taste of the school’s extensive Cultural Capital Program by visiting the Science and Industry Museum in Central Manchester.
An exhibition, ‘Operation Ouch! Food, Poo, and You’, brought to life learning in the classroom, where they have been exploring the internal organs and their functions. During the interactive exhibit, they investigated each organ in the digestive journey through interactive games and challenges, fun facts and fascinating objects.
The other areas of the museum were also explored with great intrigue, where they enjoyed learning fun facts and seeing science come to life through all the fun activities on offer while developing friendships as they encouraged one another in their new surroundings.
The first trip for the pupils has been a great success, and they are already looking forward to more opportunities to learn outside the classroom.
How amazing is that?
