Bridgeway School - Kick starting the year
Pupils from Bridgeway School have been attending Preston North End Football Club’s football in the community initiative.
Head Teacher, Sue Gill took the time out to share their fun experience.
"For the last few weeks on Wednesday’s we have been attending Preston North End, and this has proven to be a real hit with our pupils. During the day full of learning and activity, we started some course work on different topics, from business to sporting events and marketing; all this will lead to a qualification. After lunch, the pupils were given the opportunity to go to a sports club where they enjoyed some football at the indoor and outdoor pitches. All the aspiring athletes thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the competitive sessions and showing off their skills in football and demonstrated impressive team-work".
The pupils were thrilled to receive a new PNE Club tracksuit, and one pupil commented:
"I really enjoy coming here as it gives me a real insight into what I would like to do when I leave school, and it is a fantastic opportunity to see the inner workings of a professional football club".
What a way to kick start the term? Well done everyone.
