Bridgeway School - Forest Adventures Inspires Pupils
Last term pupils and staff from Bridgeway School braved the elements by taking part in exciting adventures at Delamere Forest in Cheshire and Gisburn Forest in Lancashire. During their visits, they explored nature and created great memories.
Teacher Laurence Harwood took the time out to explain their successful visits.
"Both Forests provided a backdrop for some teamwork under the forest canopy as pupils were filled with energy from experiencing the landscape, and fresh forest air. The visits provided our pupils with unique sensory experiences and the chance to regain balance and escape from the pressures of everyday life. The sounds, sights and smells of a forest reduces stress by stimulating the senses, such as the subtle shifts in temperature to the scent of pine needles."
The visits were a great success and they look forward to more exciting adventures to explore, grow and learn.
