Tate visit
16 March 2022
Elementals Class pupils and staff from Bramley Hill School recently visited the Tate Modern to celebrate the end of their topic ‘Gallery Rebels’.
On the day, pupils travelled to the Tate Modern by train and then across the Thames, putting into practice their independent learning skills.
During their visit, they explored the ‘Citizens’ exhibition, where they looked at a series of artwork that paid tribute to campaigners for citizenship and civil rights. This made pupils think about the rights and freedoms we have in the UK.
Pupils and staff agreed that the most striking piece of art was a piece by Cecilia Vicuña which was suspended from the ceiling!
