Avon Park School agree to support great cause
Avon Park School has agreed to support Action For Children as their Charity of the Year.
The partnership will provide pupils with opportunities to learn more about the charity's work to support their learning in subjects such as PSHE, SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural values), British Values, and Enterprise. Through the work they will complete, they will also develop skills in all the core subjects through writing, promotion, financing and healthy lives.
Action for Children commented:
‘Avon Park School has chosen to support Action for Children this year to raise vital funds to support vulnerable children, young people and families. The students will be taking part in fundraising events throughout the year, kick-starting with supporting Action for Children’s ‘Secret Santa’ Christmas fundraising campaign. For most of us the festive season is a happy time. A time of excitement, laughter, and magical memories. But there are children who face a very different Christmas. A Christmas without food, warmth, or love. The funds raised will help to make a big difference and Action for Children would like to say a big Thank You for all of the support.’
