Skygazers witness partial solar eclipse
23 June 2021
Earlier this month, Black Class created pinhole eclipse viewers and borrowed Site Manager, Christopher Lupton’s welding mask to watch the partial eclipse on Thursday 10 June.
The protective equipment was created following their research on the eclipse, many advising the importance of wearing appropriate eye protection.
Head Teacher Jo Burdon commented:
"The pupils were wowed to see the sun get nibbled away like a biscuit! After viewing this, they were able to explain what had happened using impressive scientific language - well done to them!"
