Lakeside School has been recognised as an outstanding school in its latest Ofsted inspection. Judgements of outstanding were awarded in every standard, which only serves to highlight the incredible difference Lakeside School makes to its pupils and their families.
The Ofsted Report noted:
“The quality of teaching and learning is outstanding, enabling pupils to make rapid progress from their starting points and achieve exceptionally well over time.”
Teachers’ high expectations and extremely good management of pupils’ behaviour ensure that there is always a highly positive atmosphere in the school and pupils enter classrooms eager to learn and full of enthusiasm.”
“Parents and carers are delighted with their children’s personal development. Relationships between staff and pupils are exceptionally positive and, as a result of excellent teamwork, lessons proceed without disruption.”
Vicky Size, Head Teacher, says, “I am extremely proud of both the staff and pupils at Lakeside for achieving the overall judgement of outstanding in all areas from Ofsted. It is wonderful to know that Ofsted have recognised the excellent work that we do at Lakeside School. We look forward to continuing to deliver the best possible outcomes for our pupils.”
Sarah Edwards, a parent of a former Lakeside pupil, was one of many past and present parents and pupils who congratulated the school on this great achievement. She commented, “Congratulations. As a parent I always knew you were outstanding anyway. My son Oliver loved every single day at Lakeside and misses it so much still, even though he is happy at Pontville School. You’re right Lakeside is one big happy family….it certainly changed Oliver’s life as soon as he started there. Well done everyone!”
