Another conference success

25 November 2022

Earlier this week, our Events Team welcomed over 1600 parents and carers to the ‘Virtual Neurodiversity Conference: A Pathway to Positive Behaviour,' our biggest audience to date.

Our impressive lineup of speakers included Colin Foley, Training Director of the ADHD Foundation and staff from within our Group, including Stephen Howell, Lead Practitioner and Alister Sidgwick, Head Teacher of the Oakwood Learning Centre.

The success of the event was not only down to the fantastic speakers, but also being expertly organised by Event Managers, Clare Boyle, Camilla Hannah and Events Assistant, Sophie Darch, the support from the Commercial Team and the huge efforts of our IT Team ensuring all technical aspects were in place to the deliver the conference digitally.

Colin Foley commented on the success of the event:

"It was a privilege today to be part of the Pathway to Positive Behaviour Conference with the Witherslack Group. It is great to work in partnership with an organisation that recognises that understanding children and young people is the first step to effectively supporting them, both at home and in school."

Alister Sidgwick commented:

"It was a pleasure to be included in the conference providing me with the opportunity to share ideas, working practice and knowledge with those who support our children on a daily basis.  I look forward to working closely with the Events Team in the near future."

Stephen Howell commented:

"It was fantastic to be part of this wonderful parents and carers conference, looking at ways that we can all help children to thrive in the home and education environment. I’ll certainly look forward to the next one."
