Sights, sounds and smells of WWII experienced
20 May 2022
Pupils and staff, from Woodhouse Class at Abbeywood School, recently visited Eden Camp Modern History Museum as part of their learning for the topic ‘World War II.’
During the visit, the pupils were able to experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on the home front and front line, all set in the building and grounds of an original World War II prisoner of war camp. The immersive displays enabled them to get a feel for what life was like during the war.
The trip was a valuable educational resource which brought history to life, which was an enjoyable day of learning.
Well done everyone!
