Holly Class from Lakeside School recently explored Knowsley Safari Park as part of their learning about Kenya and Africa.
The budding zoologists couldn’t wait to see the animals and event hold some that originate from Africa.
Pupil Leyton-James enjoyed listening to the Madagascan hissing cockroach, which hisses like a snake to scare mice away so that it doesn’t get eaten, whilst others held a buffalo horn and learnt an interesting fact along the way. Did you know that the buffalo horn is made of the same material as our fingernails?
Whilst exploring the park, pupils and staff enjoyed walking around some parts and had some great fun crossing the rope bridge. The other parts were explored by mini-bus which of course meant going through the lion’s den and the cheeky monkeys.
