This term pupils in Cedar Class from Lakeside School have been learning about Human Rights. As part of their learning, the budding historians visited the Maritime Museum in Liverpool to understand more and explore the slave trade.

They had a very successful visit and on their return, Class Teacher Mrs Benson was delighted to receive a very complimentary e-mail from their tour guide, Yaz.  Here is an extract from the email:

Just a quick email to compliment your students on an amazing visit.

They all acted with respect, dignity and integrity.

I was really impressed with the way they were able to answer any question I asked them and made some excellent comments on a very difficult and emotional subject.

It would be a real pleasure for you all to visit the museum again as the students are a real asset to the school.

Well done everyone!
