Year 6 pupils from Chilworth House School recently went on a magical adventure to Disneyland Paris. Throughout their trip, Mel Bennet, Pastoral Assistant kept us up to date so come on, let’s find out all the details.

The adventure started on Tuesday 2nd July as the pupils waved goodbye to their parents embarking on a long journey to Paris.

As they edged closer to their destination, the excitement was infectious.

Once settled into their hotel, pupils and staff couldn’t wait to explore the park where they enjoyed the rides. After some much-needed food, it was time to watch the fantastic fireworks and laser display. Despite being surrounded by thousands of people the pupils were amazed by the spectacle.

After some much-needed sleep and a big continental breakfast to keep them going, they returned to the park for another thrill-seeking day. Each and every pupil and staff member challenged themselves with rides outside their comfort zones. Later on in the day, the explorers also enjoyed watching the Lion King show and the parades.

The group enjoyed sightseeing, exploring the shops and rides while making plenty of ice cream stops! They also enjoyed a meal at on the Lion King restaurants before heading back to the hotel for an evening of swimming

Before heading home, the Disneyland Paris crew enjoyed another fun day as they explored the Hollywood studios before their journey home.

Mel commented:

We had an amazing time and yet again the children coped so well as they ventured out of their comfort zone. This was helped by staff who supported the pupils throughout our adventure, resulting in them being able to cope and with the changes and the unknown!
