Achieving great futures

Our children’s homes are exactly that – homes.  Warm and welcoming, they offer constant support and stability, so children feel safe and happy in a familiar and comfortable setting.

We are the leading children’s home provider in the country with the highest percentage of homes rated ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Our young people are at the centre of everything we do. Every member of staff plays their part in helping them to develop skills and interests as they themselves bring their passions, experience and ambition that can be found from all walks of life. Ultimately when the time comes, we equip them with experiences to step forward confidently into the world as young adults.

Here, our staff explain how we work together to achieve this and more.

Our culture sets us apart

Our culture of support, high expectation and positive challenge is the perfect backdrop for staff to progress and play their part in achieving life changing outcomes for young people. It is not easy to make such a difference, but our staff teams show endless commitment and determination in supporting each young person to develop and succeed.

You’re not just joining a home, you’re becoming part of a family. Our children’s homes work in tandem with our Witherslack Group schools and also our dedicated Clinical Services Team. We all work together; supporting, encouraging and reflecting, to ensure every child and young person can be the best they can be.

You'll do great things

You’ll play your part in helping our young people achieve academically through supporting them with their homework; succeeding socially by encouraging them as they take on new challenges that broaden their horizons, and developing emotionally as you become their role model and set the standards they aspire to in life.

You’ll need to bring everything you’ve got, do everything you can, and strive to make the biggest difference possible, but we guarantee the sense of pride you will feel in being part of something truly life-changing will make it all worthwhile.
