Pupils and staff from Avon Park School recently welcomed their chosen charity of the Term The Dogs Trust and their local police officers.

The Dog’s Trust visited the school to hold sessions focused on looking after dogs, being kind to animals and the importance of being responsible owners. The pupils participated in a variety of activities and through these fun interactive sessions learnt alot. The pupils will also be given the opportunity to visit the local Dogs Trust Centre to see for themselves the amazing work the charity does in real life!

The local police officers also visited the school to talk to pupils about their work and the opportunity to look around their bike and car. During the visit, pupils also asked questions that they had prepared earlier in the day.

The police officers were really impressed with the respectful nature of all the pupils and look forward to coming back to the school in the summer to help raise awareness of their profession further.

Well done everyone.
