From welcoming visitors to being visitors, pupils and staff from Avon Park School have been busy lately and here they catch us up on the latest goings on at the school.
Pupils and staff recently welcomed Rugby Youth For Christ Team to talk about compassion and friendship. Pupils sang, danced, played “war horns” and even competed in “Frog Spoons!” The visitors were really impressed with the positive attitude of pupils and the questions that they asked throughout the session.
Assistant Head Teacher, Ed Wright delivered an interactive assembly on Parliament to over 150 children at a local primary school. During the session, they explored the parliamentary processes, legislation and the role of MPs. Miss Cooper, PSHE lead, worked with Ed to give out Parliament badges for great questions and answers the children gave. The opportunity to deliver the assembly will further strengthen the school’s links with the local community.
Well done everyone.
