About Abbeywood School
Abbeywood School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Rotherham, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions.

The broad curriculum allows pupils to pursue both academic and vocational paths allowing individuals to strive in their areas of strength.

Our school at a glance
Small class sizes of no more than 8 pupils with high staff ratios and additional pastoral and academic support.
Subject-specific classrooms - a workshop for resistant materials, a Hair and Beauty salon, Art room, Science laboratory and Food Technology area.
Dedicated family liaison to enable consistent communication with parents and carers and to support induction for new pupils.
In-school Clinical Team which liaises with external agencies to provide highly effective and individual therapeutic interventions.
